Matchbox Studio is proud to announce that we have won a Site of the Day award from AWWWARDS for our innovative design of the NSSC18 (18th National Student Show and Conference) website for the Dallas Society of Visual Communication. This recognition is a testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to delivering cutting-edge, engaging designs for our clients.

The NSSC18 website was a complex and challenging project that allowed our team to experiment utilizing the latest technologies and design techniques to bring our client’s vision to life. We incorporated a wide range of cutting-edge features into the website including: physics simulation, scroll-activated animations, mobile gyro sensing, and smooth scrolling.

The site is part of a larger campaign that includes a newsprint poster with a QR code that, when scanned, launches an Augmented Reality experience that allows users to interact with the poster in their environment. The AR experience leads the user into the website where they can find out more information about the conference and awards show. This unique feature added an extra layer of excitement and engagement for conference attendees, and helped set the NSSC18 website apart from other conference websites.

The responsive design of the NSSC18 website was another key element that helped us win the Site of the Day award from AWWWARDS. Our team worked hard to ensure that the website would look great and function seamlessly on any device, from desktops to mobile phones. This allowed conference attendees to access information about the event at any time, from any location.
